Small Church Large Footprint

One participant put it this way, “We consistently punch above our weight”.  

We have never been a very large congregation in terms of numbers, but we have been extremely active in our community through participation in many organizations: the Otsego County Public Library, Gaylord Community Schools, Otsego County United Way, AAUW, Leadership Otsego County, RSVP, Community Band, Choir and Plays, and a host of other organizations.

We also provide a Community Meal, free to anyone who wishes to come, almost every Friday of the year.  The meal is coordinated and served out of our church kitchen with a variety of community groups serving the meals.

Many people participate in the Otsego County Food Pantry, serving those in need throughout the county.  We also participate with other congregations in the annual CROP Walk, raising money to eradicate hunger in the United States and around the world.
